2 Day Deluxe St. Petersburg Tour

Description

This unique 2 full day program was created after years of experience creating tours for cruise ship passengers, created by an American who knows the sorts of activities and approach Canadian, American and UK tour members would enjoy. It is intended for those who want to see the most St. Petersburg has to offer during a 2 day port call.  The design and conduct of the tour is unlike any of the others offered by conventional tour operators. It is focused on local culture, people, activities and history in a fun active engagement with the city. There is more walking in non-tourist filled areas, talking with locals about life here and culture, free time to explore in interesting, accessible and safe environments.

There are many 2 day tours, almost all focus on groups listening to a history lecture that spans the time of 1703 to 1917 with a million facts and dates but this is the only one that includes contemporary life and times, and interactive conversation about topics you are interested in. Sure, our guides are experts in the details of history but we all feel that reciting memorized lists of dates is not a good way to help visitors to understand the context or how the facts relate to real life. So expect more interactive conversation than a dry history lecture. You will return to the ship with a better understanding of what you experienced and the people and places.

On the first day the tour returns back to the ship at 5:30 PM (17:30), and on the day of your departure one hour before your ship is scheduled to sail. That gives you the opportunity to participate in Tickets and Tours unique evening programs, such as fun interactive Russian home cooking Master Class($50), a river/canal cruise party with included drinks ($79), 4 hours of free time to explore, shop, pub hop, photography, attend a jazz cafe or just sit in an outdoor cafe and people watch and meet social friendly locals doing the same things ($40).
