Dostoevsky Walking Tour
Starting from: €180,00
The idea of creating a museum bore the author's widow, Anna Dostoevskaya. In 1917 she left St. Petersburg and a year later died in solitude away from children and grandchildren. In this house, Fyodor Dostoevsky lived with his family in October 1878 and lived until his death - January 28 (9 February) 1881. The museum was opened to the 150 anniversary of his birthday in 1971. The creation of the museum introduced a grandson of the writer Andrey F. Dostoevsky (1908-1968), brought together a valuable collection, dedicated to the memory of his famous grandfather - later it became the basis of the museum.
