Walking city tours

Duration : ~3 hours
Location: St Petersburg, Russian Federation

Starting from: €70,00

The Historic Center of Saint Petersburg was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Moreover, the city is house of the largest art museum in the world, the so-called Hermitage. Saint Petersburg is home to more than two hundred museums, many of them hosted in historic buildings.

During the original construction of the city, the mouth of the Neva was routed in a series of channels that are still intertwined in the central part of the city, making them deserve the name of Venice of the North. The position of St. Petersburg, near the arctic circle, means that the twilight lasts all night during the summer, especially from mid-May to mid July, this phenomenon is known as the white nights and during that time the cultural life of the city is even more fervent and active. Many historic buildings in the city have been restored for the three hundredth anniversary of the founding of Saint Petersburg (May 27, 2003) and for the G8 summit in the city in 2006.
